We wanted to pay tribute to that while offering a program for the whole family,” said Lial Jones, Director of the Crocker Art Museum . “This series of programs will give kids their own Second Saturdays and help parents to introduce their children to art.” Crocker’s Second Saturdays will feature a variety of family-friendly activities. “Although activities will vary each month, parents can count on there always being something new and interesting happening at the Crocker on Second Saturday afternoons,” said Emma Moore, Youth & Family Program Coordinator for the Museum. Each month will have a theme, often tied to the Crocker’s current exhibits. Activities will include: gallery tours, hands-on projects for all ages, festival formats with a range of music and performance entertainment, or more in-depth art classes, Moore added.# # # The Crocker Art Museum was founded in 1885 and continues as the leading art institution for the California Capital Region and Central Valley.
