Wells Fargo Commits Funds
to Ensure Free Access for All

January 3, 2005 – Sacramento, CA – Through the generous support of Wells Fargo, the Crocker Art Museum is extending free admission hours to visitors on Sundays from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Last year more than 16,000 visitors were admitted to the Crocker during Sunday free hours.

“Providing free admission hours is the best way to ensure access to everyone in the community,” said Lial Jones, Museum Director. “I am grateful to Wells Fargo for their commitment to help make the Crocker a place Where Art is for Everyone.”

“By sponsoring Free Admission Sundays, Wells Fargo is not only providing access to the museum for individuals and families who might not be able to afford it but will offer opportunities for the public to take advantage of the many programs the museum has to offer such as youth education and other family-oriented programs,” said Felix Fernandez, Wells Fargo Regional President for Northern California.

Sunday visitors can enter the Museum between 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. for free and participate in programs offered throughout the day. A Classical Concert is held on the fourth Sunday of every month from 3 – 4 p.m. Family Days featuring performances and hands-on activities for all ages are offered quarterly. The Crocker’s next Family Day, The Art of Puppetry, is scheduled for February 20 with activities from 1 – 3 p.m.
