Crocker's Summer Art Class Registration Begins April 15

2006 Classes Feature 14 Sessions

March 15, 2006 – Sacramento, Calif. – Registration for this year’s Summer Art Classes for Children and Teens, which offers 14 sessions using different media and subjects, begins April 15.

Each session is designed for a particular age group and taught by local artists using current Crocker exhibits for inspiration. Students are encouraged to unleash their imagination while receiving formal lessons in color, line, texture and variety of media. Most classes offer a morning or afternoon session. A full listing of programs follows.

Session fees are $40 – $125 per student and include materials and refreshments. Members of the Crocker Art Museum Association receive substantial discounts. For more information or a registration form, visit crockerartmuseum.org or contact Emma Moore at

The Crocker Art Museum was founded in 1885 and continues as the leading art institution for the California Capital Region and Central Valley. The Museum offers a diverse spectrum of special exhibitions, events and programs to augment its collections of Californian, European and Asian artworks. The Crocker is located at 216 O Street in downtown Sacramento.
