FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

36th Annual Antiques Show & Sale
October 26-28

September 25, 2007 – Sacramento, Calif. – From 1950s-era travel posters to vintage Bakelite jewelry and antique furniture, the Antiques Show and Sale is the place to find unique collector items to decorate your home or give as gifts. Browse through antique dishes, silver, furniture, paper and much more from 45 regional and national dealers.

“More than your average flea market, this show brings together a broad array of top-notch collectors and experts,” said Pat Gedestad of the Art Service Group that organizes the show to support the Crocker Art Museum. “It’s a very different experience than buying antiques online. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, the dealer will often be able to help you find it.”

Experienced specialists will be available to answer your questions ranging from conserving works of art to restoring antique furniture, fabric and more. There will be a silent auction and benefit drawing running the entire weekend, and a gourmet Greek lunch is available for purchase.

Run entirely by volunteers from the Art Service Group, proceeds from the sale will benefit the Crocker Art Museum. The show will run October 26-28 at the Scottish Rite Center at 61st and H Streets. General admission is $5. Hours are 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Sunday.
