FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Mid-Century Meets Modern at the Construction moves Ball offsite to September 25, 2007 – Sacramento, Calif. – Sacramento’s premier black-tie gala moves offsite this year due to construction at the Crocker Art Museum. The Crocker Ball will kick off the holiday season at the Aerospace Museum of California on Saturday, December 1, at 6 p.m. The unique venue inspired this year’s theme: “Fly me to the Moon!” combining mid-century elegance with contemporary glamour. Amid airplanes and rockets, guests will enjoy a cocktail reception at a 360 degree bar and dine on an exquisitely prepared four-course meal. The Black Market Jazz Orchestra will have guests dancing into the night to big band standards and classic party tunes. Kelly Brothers will lead the evening’s festivities as emcee. “The Crocker Ball is an extraordinary evening that epitomizes the elegance of the Crocker while supporting the Museum’s wonderful education programs,” said Joyce Raley Teel, Co-Sponsor of this year’s ball with her husband, Jim Teel, and Bank of America. Four high-end auction items up for bid include a 2008 Mini Cooper, the stunning “La Strada” diamond timepiece by Chopard, an Ermenegildo Zegna ensemble and customized trip to New York City, and a private catered dinner for 10 from Paula Le Duc Fine Catering. These incredible items are made possible by donations from the Niello Company, Hamilton Jewelers, Ralph Lauren Sacramento – a division of Julius, Russ Solomon and Paula Le Duc Fine Catering.
