Crocker Art Museum Association Appoints New Member to Board of Directors

August 13, 2008 - Sacramento, Calif. - The Crocker Art Museum Association recently appointed Felix Fernandez to its Board of Directors. "I am so pleased to have Felix join the board. His extensive banking background will be an asset in guiding the Museum through the expansion," said Lial A. Jones, Director, Crocker Art Museum.

Fernandez is Regional President of Community Banking for Wells Fargo retail banking operations in the Northern California area. Active in both community and business organizations throughout his career, he is currently serving on the boards of the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce and the California State University Vision 2010. He is co-chair of the Capital Region Healthy Future Project. Fernandez holds a bachelor's degree in economics and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Arizona.

The Crocker Art Museum was founded in 1885 and continues as the leading art institution for the California Capital Region and Central Valley. The Museum offers a diverse spectrum of special exhibitions, events and programs to augment its collections of California, European and Asian artworks. The Crocker is located at 216 O Street in Downtown Sacramento. Museum hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday-Sunday; 1st and 3rd Thursdays until 9 p.m. Free admission on Sundays from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. is made possible through the support of Bank of America.
