FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Crocker Participates in Bank of America's Museums on Us Program Bank cardholders gain free admission during the first Saturday and Sunday of each month May 21, 2009 – Sacramento, Calif. – The Crocker Art Museum is pleased to announce it’s participation in Bank of America’s Museums on Us™ program, which is entering its 12th year providing free access to some of the nation’s finest cultural institutions. Running May 2009 through April 2010, Bank of America ATM, credit and debit cardholders will have the opportunity to gain free admission to the Crocker and more than 120 museums in 74 cities across the country during the first Saturday and Sunday of each month. “Museums on Us™ gives individuals who might not otherwise visit a cultural institution the chance to experience some of the finest art in the world,” said Lial A. Jones, Museum Director, Crocker Art Museum. “The Crocker is thrilled to partner once again with Bank of America to expand this terrific opportunity to the Sacramento region.” "Bank of America is pleased to partner with the Crocker Art Museum to bring the Museums on Us™ program to Sacramento," said Eric Stanion, Market Development Manager for Bank of America. "We recognize the value of arts and culture in our community and encourage our customers and associates to visit wonderful cultural institutions such as the Crocker." Bank of America cardholders simply show their bank card and photo identification card to receive one free admission for the cardholder. The Crocker Art Museum was founded in 1885 and continues as the leading art institution for the California Capital Region and Central Valley. The Museum offers a diverse spectrum of special exhibitions, events and programs to augment its collections of California, European and Asian artworks. The Crocker is located at 216 O Street in Downtown Sacramento. Museum hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday-Sunday; 1st and 3rd Thursdays until 9 p.m. Free admission on Sundays from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. is made possible through the support of Bank of America.
