FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

38th Annual Art & Antiques Show & Sale October 23-25

The Show & Sale will take place at the Scottish Rite Center,
located at H Street and Carlson Drive

September 2, 2009 – Sacramento, Calif. From 1950s-era travel posters to vintage Bakelite jewelry, antique furniture and more, the Art and Antiques Show and Sale is the place to find unique collector items from 45 regional and national dealers. Browse through antique dishes, silver, furniture, paper and much more. Find unique collector items to decorate your home or give as gifts while supporting the exhibitions and education programs of the Crocker Art Museum.

“This show brings together a broad array of top-notch collectors and experts,” said Chip O’Neill of the Art Service Group. “It’s a very different experience than buying antiques online. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, the dealer will often be able to help you find it.”

Experienced specialists, including Jim and Karen Alkons, Bob Hensley and Doris Easley will be available to answer your questions. A silent auction and benefit drawing will run the entire weekend, and a gourmet Greek lunch is available for purchase.

Run entirely by volunteers from the Art Service Group, proceeds from the sale will benefit the Crocker Art Museum. The Art and Antiques Show and Sale will take place October 23 and 24 from 10 to 6 and October 25 from 11 to 5 at the Scottish Rite Center, located at H Street and Carlson Drive, across from the main entrance to California State University Sacramento. Parking is free of charge. Regular admission is $6. For more information, call (916) 394-9109 or visit crockerartmuseum.org/antiques_show.
