FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Glamour Reigns at the 49th Annual Construction moves Ball offsite October 9, 2009 – Sacramento, Calif. – The Crocker Ball will kick off the holiday season at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium on Saturday, December 5, at 6 p.m. Guests will be taken back in time for “A Holiday Affaire,” a romantic evening reminiscent of a mid-century supper club. Guests will enjoy the era’s signature cocktails and an elegant five-star meal of classic American fare with a nouveau twist. The Robert Vickers Orchestra will have the crowd dancing in between courses to popular hits from the era through today. Kelly Brothers will lead the evening's festivities as emcee and auctioneer. High-end auction items up for bid include one-of-a-kind jewelry from Hamilton Jewelers Pavilions, a “Dancing with the Stars” getaway to Los Angeles, a New York fashion experience courtesy of Julius at Pavilions, and more “The Crocker Ball is an extraordinary evening that celebrates the deep-rooted ties and history the Crocker shares with our community while supporting the Museum’s wonderful exhibitions and education programs,” said Joyce Raley Teel, co-sponsor of this year’s ball with her husband, Jim Teel. Wells Fargo is the evening’s gold sponsor, and The Niello Company is the silver sponsor. The Crocker Ball is a black-tie gala benefit for the Crocker Art Museum. Tickets are $500 per person. The Crocker Art Museum was founded in 1885 and continues as the leading art institution for the California Capital Region and Central Valley. The Museum offers a diverse spectrum of special exhibitions, events and programs to augment its collections of California, European and Asian artworks.
