Crocker Art Museum members unable to attend the 2008 Art Auction are eligible to place absentee bids for the works up for auction on May 31. Don't miss your chance to take home your favorite work by one of the region's most distinguished artists.

How to Bid
To place an absentee bid, complete the Absentee Bid Form and return via fax to Karen Balmes at 916.808.7372. Minimum bids begin at 30 percent of the fair market value listed. The highest absentee bid received will be listed underneath each artwork on the auction preview.

Valid bids will be accepted until 5 p.m. (PST) on Thursday, May 29, 2008. The Museum will confirm all bids received by fax.

The highest absentee bid received on any item will be the starting bid at the Art Auction on May 31. If no other bids meet your high bid, you are the winner! If identical absentee bids are placed, the Museum will give precedent to the first one received. For more information, please call 916.808.7843.

Conditions of Sale

  • California state law mandates that buyer information may not be released without consent. Successful bidders will have the option to sign a waiver releasing their contact information to the artist.
  • All lots are sold "as is". The Crocker Art Museum Association makes no statements, warranties or representations as to the accuracy of any auction item's description, genuineness, provenance or condition.
    • The Museum reserves the right to withdraw any item offered for bid, at anytime.
