Crocker Kids Drama Club
Grades 3 to 6
Nine Thursdays, October 11 - December 13 (no class on Thanksgiving, November 22)
This unique drama club uses art on view in the galleries as inspiration for dynamic theatrical experiences. Each club meeting is 90 minutes in length. Students will begin with fun skill-building exercises, including theater games and improvisation. After examining works from the Crocker's permanent collection and the exhibition American Chronicles: The Art of Norman Rockwell, students will integrate what they learn into dramatic skits. The club will culminate with a student-created, Rockwell-inspired original performance on Thursday, December 13. Club members may bring four free guests to the performance and visit the Rockwell exhibition and Rockwell-themed Art Mix on the same night. Register a sibling and save $20 per additional child (this discount is only available through phone registration). Space is limited.
