Education Program
The Crocker Art Museum provides educational programs for three broad audiences: youth and families, adults and schools and teachers. Corporations, organizations and individuals can provide financial support to these program areas while enjoying customized sponsorship benefits, which may include:

  • Logo or name recognition in program promotional materials including flyers, ads, banners, billboard and ArtLetter, the Crocker’s members magazine
  • Opportunity to provide promotional materials to Museum attendees
  • Special access to the Museum and its programs through guest passes, invitations to the exhibit’s opening reception, a company day at the Crocker, a complimentary membership or possible rental of the Museum for a social or business event

Youth & Family Programs
Our weekend youth and family programs provide young people and their families with age-appropriate projects and classes in a supportive atmosphere that encourages experimentation and artistic exploration. Events such as Second Saturday for Kids, Family Day and Totally Tots Artblast! emphasize hands-on experiences and direct contact with original works of art. Families leave the Crocker with a new and hopefully lasting relationship with the Museum.

Public or Adult Programs
The Crocker offers a wide variety of meaningful and stimulating arts experiences for adults in a supportive, creative and social environment that fosters a deep connection to the Museum and its permanent collection and temporary exhibits. The program encompasses lectures, art classes, films and gallery tours, as well as our Third Thursday Jazz and Sunday Classical Concerts series. These events and classes provide adults with the opportunity to revisit former interests and practices, expand on their knowledge and skills, and meet other Museum patrons who share an appreciation for the creative arts.

GenCorp School Programs & Teacher Services
Through our school programs, the Crocker strives to infuse the arts into school curricula that are often painfully absent of such studies. In addition to hosting students (grades K–12) at the Museum, we also offer the Art Ark, a mobile museum that brings the visual arts and hands-on activities directly to schools. Experiences with art, both inside and outside the Crocker, expose students to the history and tradition of the arts while encouraging them to reflect on their own lives and apply their experiences to the stories, themes and practices represented at the Museum.
