This class offers an introduction to acrylic painting through the colorful landscapes of Gregory Kondos, a nationally renowned artist who lives right here in Sacramento. Use a sketchbook to plan your composition, create preliminary drawings with vine charcoal, and practice the basics of acrylic painting and color mixing. Learn the techniques Kondos uses to create his landscapes, and how to experiment with them to create your own paintings
inspired by special places.

About the Instructor: 

Marie-Thérèse Brown was born and raised in San Diego, California. She taught elementary and high school art in Central America and in California for many years. After retiring from teaching in 2003, she decided to pursue a full-time painting career. She regularly paints plein air scenes of the Sacramento region and Central Coast and has painted her world travels.
