Learn from a national expert how to talk to children about race. Gain an understanding of how children, starting in infancy, develop attitudes about race, and how parents and caregivers can affect racial stereotyping and prejudice among children. Guest speaker Rebecca S. Bigler, Ph.D., studies the causes and consequences of social stereotyping and prejudice among children, and her research has been supported by Teaching Tolerance and the National Science Foundation. She is a Professor of Psychology and Women's and Gender Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. Creative Care is available.
