Tour + Performance: Asian Art, Music, and Dance

There are two sessions of this Tour + Performance: Noon - 1:30 PM and 1 - 2:30 PM.

Tour + Performances are unique interdisciplinary experiences open to students in second grade and higher.

Students will enjoy a live performance of Indian percussive music and Nepalese classical dance, complemented by a tour of the exhibition Celestial Realms: The Art of Nepal from California Collections and the Asian art collection.

Fee per student: $8 (advance registration required by by 5 PM, November 12)

One chaperone for every five students is required and receives complimentary admission. Additional chaperones are $4 per person. Museum admission is included.

The Crocker Art Museum holds a variety of special events throughout the year, including two signature events: Crocker Ball and Art Auction. These events raise vital support for the Museum's education programs and exhibitions.

Save the date for the 52nd Crocker Ball on December 7, 2013. Sacramento's premier black-tie gala kicks off the holiday season on the first Saturday in December, and has supported arts education for five decades. The Crocker Ball is a dazzling evening with fine cuisine, live music, dancing, and an exciting live auction.

The casually elegant evening, held the first Saturday in June, includes dinner and an exciting live auction. Proceeds support the exhibitions and education programs of the Crocker.

Music, artist demonstrations, a good time, and a great cause. The festive silent auction party, held the last Thursday in May, showcases the works of Big Name regional artists. Each Small Art work measures in at 12 x 12 in. or smaller. Bids starts at $25, so anyone can start or add to their art collection.

For the past 40 years, the Art & Antiques Show & Sale has been the place to find unique collector items, from vintage jewelry to antique furniture and more. The event showcases regional and national dealers with one-of-a-kind wares, and experienced specialists to answer your conservation and restoration questions. Find unique gifts for everyone on your list and support the Crocker by shopping at the Holiday Art & Craft Festival. Every year local artists and craftspeople offer a dazzling variety of artful wares. The festival is held over Thanksgiving weekend at the Scottish Rite Center.
