For those with some painting experience, this intensive class offers deep engagement with a
single work of art in addition to the opportunity to polish your skills. Begin by spending time in slow contemplation and appreciation of Norman Rockwell's famous painting Triple Self-Portrait and learning about his creative process. You will then be guided through the process of developing a final selfportrait from photographs and sketches.

About the Instructor:
Patris left the education profession in 2004 to pursue her art full time. She has recently been juried into several national plein air painting competitions and her work is in many private and public collections. She served on the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission and is a member of the California Art Club, the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association, and Landscape Artists International. Patris will teach Branches of Love: Painting Your Family Tree.
