Abstract Totem Sculpture
For Adults
One Saturday, May 18
12 - 4 PM
Totem poles are intricately symbolic sculptures with roots in Pacific Northwest indigenous cultures. View slides of traditional totems and obelisks, examine the visual elements that tell a story, learn how to "think in 3-D," and construct a tabletop totem sculpture out of balsa wood. Bring meaningful objects to incorporate into your design and take away a sculpture in the round that tells a personal story.
