 nd abstract painter whose work is process-oriented. She is quintessentiall
 y a mixed-media artist with a studio in Sacramento. Born and raised in Chi
 cago\, Hacker holds a master's from the Maryland Institute College of Art 
 and a bachelor's in studio art from University of California\, Davis. She 
 was also awarded a Smithsonian Graduate Internship in 2000-01 for the Amer
 ican Art Museum.&nbsp\;\n\n
