Venture into the great urban outdoors for artistic inspiration. On walking field trips to the river and around the Crocker, you will learn how to use watercolors to create simple landscapes and depict textures. You will receive a portable watercolor sketchbook, portable palette, and brush to keep.

About the Instructor: 

Helen Plenert, a native of Sacramento, has been painting for more than 20 years. While her first love is watercolors, she also works with acrylics. To date, Plenert has created 12 murals with children from elementary schools around Sacramento. She also exhibits in local galleries.
