Compare the Impressionist works in the collection to learn what is disctinctive about this style and see how brushstrokes differ. You'll gain a working knowledge of composition and acrylic painting fundamentals and produce an original landscape painting in the Impressionist style.

About the Instructor: 

Sarma Karsiere is an internationally recognized artist from Riga, Latvia. In her art, she explores the possibilities found in the cross-pollination of traditional and digital art media. She has been teaching studio art for more than 15 years and is currently an adjunct faculty member with the Los Rios Community College District. Karsiere will also teach Introduction to Classical Drawing.
