Portrait Painting

For Ages 9 - 12

Monday - Friday, July 15 - 19, 1 - 4 PM

Capturing the likenesses of family members, friends, personal heroes, or historical figures makes portrait painting fun. You will learn the basics of acrylic painting, including how to use brushes and colors to create different effects, and how to use guidelines for facial proportions.

About the Instructor:

Patris left the education profession in 2004 to pursue her art full-time. She has recently been juried into several national plein air painting competitions and her work is in many private and public collections. She served on the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission and is a member of the California Art Club, the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association, and Landscape Artists International.
