Eight Sundays, October 14 - December 9
1 - 3:30 PM
Acquire basic drawing skills by drawing from observation. Learn how to use pencil, charcoal, and markers to depict value, texture, and space. You will study and discuss a variety of original drawings. In addition to occasional sketching in the galleries, we will visit various scenes around the Museum. A sketchbook is provided so that you can practice your techniques in between classes.

About the Instructor:
Karen Roughton is an artist, member of The Artery in Davis, professor of art at American River College, and Crocker docent. She has a master's from Sacramento State and has been involved in art education for more than 35 years. She is known for her supportive, easy-going teaching style.
