This class will introduce you to the art historical significance of pet portraiture as well as provide an introduction to acrylic painting. Learn the basic color mixing and texture techniques you'll need to bring your pet's personality to life, and take home a completed pet portrait on stretched canvas. Bring several photographs of your animal friend to work from.

About the Instructor: 

Joseph Williams recently returned to his home state of California after two years of teaching painting, drawing, and art history at Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio. He earned a bachelor's in studio art at Azusa Pacific University and a master's in illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia.
