Take an in-depth look at the exhibition with Curator William Breazeale The Artist's View: Landscape Drawings from the Crocker Art Museum. Then head into the great outdoors with local artist Sarma Karsiere to learn about drawing tools and techniques while portraying local landscapes in the foothills and the Delta.

About the Instructors:
Sarma Karsiere is an internationally recognized artist from Riga, Latvia. She explores the possiblities found in the cross-pollination of traditional and digital art media. She has been teaching studio art for more than 15 years and is an adjunct faculty member with the Los Rios Community College District.

Curator William Breazeale received his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland and specializes in Old Master drawings and European art at the Crocker Art Museum. He recently curated the exhibitions Florence and the Baroque: Paintings from the Haukohl Family Collection and Fishing Lines: Etching and Engraving from the Gary Widman Collection. He is also the author of A Pioneering Collection: Master Drawings from the Crocker Art Museum.
