Colorful mosaics are found in art and many different cultural traditions. Practice the basics of color theory, patterns, and design through painting and collage. You'll learn simple tiling techniques to create a mosaic using ceramic and glass in plaster.

About the Instructor:
Laurie Seban is a northern California native with a master's in art history from the University of California, Davis, specializing in non-Western and Modern art. She currently teaches Native American art at California State University, Sacramento. For the last 20 years, Seban has also taught preschoool and elementary art/art history classes, using hands-on projects that bring the art world to life for children. Seban will also teach Contemporary Native American Art.
