In this class for adults 21 and over, discuss and compare wines and paintings in a fun, informal setting. Crocker Cafe Chef Matt Woolston, renowned for his wine selection at Matteo's, will choose wines to pair with a few paintings from the Museum's permanent collection. After the tasting, take your wine along with you into the studios to try your hand at acrylic painting. Kristine Bybee will lead you through the process of creating a still life. No experience is necessary and all supplies are provided.

About the Instructors:
Matt Woolston is the owner and executive chef of Crocker Cafe by Supper Club and Supper Club at the Crocker catering, as well as Matteo's Pizza Bistro. Though his menus are often playful, Woolston is serious about food. He designs each dish to highlight the essence of the ingredients, deftly blending fl avors to achieve a perfectly balanced work of art.
Kristine Bybee is a native of Sacramento and was educated in Los Angeles. She regularly exhibits her paintings in local and regional galleries, most recently at the Pence Gallery in Davis, and her work is collected by private and corporate collectors. She is an art educator at the community college level and maintains an active practice of producing work for exhibition.
