Looking for ways to engage your children this summer? Consider the Crocker’s Summer Art Classes for Children and Teens, which feature 12 sessions designed for particular age groups that highlight different media and subjects.

Class fees are $40-$125 for members and $80-$145 for nonmembers and include materials and refreshments. Register early to get the class of your choice!

Members can register beginning May 1. Registration is open to nonmembers beginning May 19. Refunds are offered through May 15.

Due to construction for the Museum's expansion, classes are held offsite at the West Sacramento Civic Center Galleria, located at 1110 West Capitol Avenue. Driving Directions and a map are available here.

Drawing: From Observation

Strengthen your observational skills while learning to view art and the world around you in new ways. Morning session taught by artist Helen Plenert. Artist David Cole will teach the afternoon session.

Drawing: Figures
JULY 7-11, 9 AM-NOON

Capture the correct proportions of the figure using a live model. Through a series of life model poses and creative exercises, art students will discover anatomy, line quality and value with artist Emilio Soltero.

Mixed Media: Sculptures

Artist C.W. Hurni will teach students to infuse their 3-D art with tension, harmony and movement. Basic construction methods are a breeze when using drills, wood and plaster.
