Teacher-Led Tours

02-02-2011 School-Tours Greg-Flagg014

Although Guided Museum Tours are highly recommended, educators are welcome to develop and lead their own tours of the Crocker. Lesson plans, background materials, and recommendations on leading a group through the galleries are provided in Striking Gold, the Crocker's free online curriculum guide.

Upon arrival, groups will be greeted by staff or docents and given a brief introduction to the Crocker. At the end of the tour, each student receives a Free Family Pass, which enables students to return to the Museum, free of charge, with up to four people.

Educators who reserve a Teacher-Led Tour will receive a Teacher Preview Pass in their confirmation packet, which is good for free admission for two people. Educators are strongly encouraged to preview Museum exhibitions to help shape a comprehensive learning experience for their students.
