Docents (volunteer guides trained to support visitors as they look and learn about art) are generally available to lead Highlight Tours at the times listed below.

Please call 916.808.1184 to confirm docent availability before your visit. Groups of 10 or more should make advanced reservations.

Highlight Tour Schedule
Docent-led tours highlight the Museum's history, permanent collection and special exhibits.
Thursday, 6:30 PM
Saturday, NOON & 1 PM
Sunday, NOON & 1 PM
**Docents are not available during the month of August.

Themed Tours
Enjoy a Spotlight Tour during intermission of Third Thursday Jazz Concerts.

Group Tours
School and youth groups can find information about tours under field trips. Groups of 10 or more are eligible for admission discounts with advanced reservations. Tours can last 30-50 minutes and can be customized for your group based on special exhibits or a theme.
